Privacy Policy

Camp Eagle Rock ("we", "the camp") operates the campeaglerock.com website and the Camp Eagle Rock mobile app. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. The short version: we collect as little as possible, we never collect personal information from children, and we never sell anything to anyone.
The eagle-hunt game (kids)
The game is built to collect no personal information at all:
- Players are anonymous. Each player gets a randomly generated nickname (like "SwiftTalon42") — no name, email, birthday, or photo is requested or stored.
- Location never leaves the phone. The game uses the device's location on the device only, to show nearby eagles. Our servers never receive or store any player's location — only which eagle was caught.
- The game has no chat, no friend lists, and no player profiles.
Camp board
Anyone using the app can submit a post (text or a photo) to the camp bulletin board under their anonymous game nickname. Every post is reviewed by camp staff before it becomes visible, and staff may remove any post at any time.
Commander's Club (adults only)
Adults who choose to join the Commander's Club supporter community provide a display name, first and last name, email address, and phone number. We use this information solely to manage memberships and to contact members about the camp. Members can edit their information in the app at any time, and can permanently delete their membership and all associated information from the app ("Edit profile" → "Delete my membership") or by emailing us.
Website bookings
Groups booking the camp through our website provide coordinator contact details (name, email, phone, organization). We use these only to manage the booking and related communication.
Push notifications
If you allow notifications, the app registers an anonymous device token used to send camp-wide announcements (for example, weather alerts). The token is not linked to any identity.
What we don't do
- We do not sell or rent any information to anyone.
- We do not use third-party advertising or tracking in the app.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Data retention & deletion
Commander's Club members can delete their account in the app, which permanently removes their personal information and comments. For any other deletion request, or any privacy question, email manager@campeaglerock.com and we'll take care of it promptly.
